Emerald Frog help youngsters with career decisions

Updated: Oct 19, 2023

We were honoured to be invited to a special Careers Event at Ely College last to talk with over 500 pupils from Ely and surrounding areas about their careers options and skills and qualifications they need if they are considering entering the heady world of marketing and PR.

The initiative was organised by Ely College and the Ely Schools partnership to bring the business community and schools closer together and allow pupils an insight into the world of work. We were most impressed with how the day was organised, with Years 5 and 6 in the morning questioning us about the subjects they would need to study hard at and the skills they would need to acquire and asking us questions from their specially designed workbooks.

We were most impressed by how confident the children were in asking us questions and our chocolate bar logo quiz sheet (kindly printed off for us by our lovely customers at The Copier Warehouse) went down an absolute storm!

CAreers Day

The afternoon session saw Year 9’s taking part in a speed networking style of activity, assigned in small teams to an exhibitor to find out as much as possible about our business in five minutes before moving on to the next stand.

A wide range of businesses were represented including recruitment consultants, The Royal Society of Chemistry, banks, retailers and emergency services.
