Emerald Frog Marketing achieves Gold Standard for work experience

Work Experience Gold Standard

**Press release**

A creative marketing and PR agency in Cambridgeshire has been awarded the highest level of accreditation for its work experience provision.

Emerald Frog Marketing, based in Ely, has received gold level Work Experience Quality Standard accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to supporting young people into employment and training.

Although it works nationally, the organisation operates in a rural location where learners find it difficult to secure placements. Many sixteen and seventeen-year-olds are desperate for opportunities but lack transportation methods to access employers, or are simply unaware of the opportunities available to them.

Emerald Frog Marketing is trying to bridge this gap by offering high quality placements, providing business mentors for schools and attending local careers fairs.

The Work Experience Quality Standard accreditation, developed by national charity Fair Train in association with the Department for Education and Ofsted, independently verifies the quality of all types of work experience, including traineeships, apprenticeships, interns and volunteering.

Jo Evans, Director at Emerald Frog Marketing, said: “”We are delighted to have achieved the coveted gold accreditation from Fair Train.  We do a lot of work with local schools and work placements and it was great to have the support from Fair Train to give our programme the structure and policy documentation that helps work placements get the most from their time with us, and that also works to the benefit of our business too.”

Jessica Rexworthy, Head of Learning and Skills at Fair Train, said: “We are really pleased that Emerald Frog Marketing has achieved gold level Work Experience Quality Standard. The organisation initially became accredited at silver level, and has built a structured programme based on the support documents available for accredited organisations, and their in-house expertise.

Emerald Frog Marketing is a great example of how an SME can benefit from offering work experience placements. The team see the business benefits to be had by gaining an extra pair of hands, and also benefit from nurturing local talent for their industry.

The organisation works closely with local schools, colleges, and the Chamber of Commerce. This partnership approach not only helps support the business, but also helps support local young people to discover a career in marketing, and the Work Experience Quality Standard is a guarantee of quality for both learners and stakeholders alike. Congratulations, Emerald Frog Marketing!”
