Student achieves First-Class Work Placement award

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

Student, Hannah Robbins, has achieved a First-Class award as part of her university degree work placement with Emerald Frog Marketing.

Hannah’s work placement provided a specific focus on work experience activity for students of English, Communication, Film and Media, in preparation for working life after graduation.

Already working part-time with Emerald Frog Marketing to help fund her studies, Hannah had to identify, negotiate and carry-out a work placement of sixty additional hours with Emerald Frog Marketing over the course of ten weeks. She then had present a personal portfolio and essay to Anglia Ruskin University about her experience and the vocationally oriented skills developed during the placement.

Assessors at Anglia Ruskin said: “This is a very well-written and well-organised portfolio. It shows Hannah’s commitment and professionalism, and gives a very good glimpse of the kind of work she did during the placement. This submission shows clearly that she benefitted greatly from the experience on all levels”.

Hannah said: “The work placement with Emerald Frog Marketing enabled me to critically assess my degree in relation to my career goals and prospects. Emerald Frog Marketing provided a fantastic opportunity, providing training and support and I’m very pleased of the result”.

Jo Evans, Director at Emerald Frog Marketing said, “We are very proud of Hannah for achieving such a high mark as a result of her work placement with us. Hannah was involved in a variety of project including website management and blogging, carrying out competitor analyses and market research, direct mail campaigns and internet marketing. This gave her a very in-depth experience of the different types of work covered by a busy PR and Marketing agency.”

Emerald Frog Marketing, based in Littleport, hold a gold level Work Experience Quality Standard accreditation from Fair Train for their commitment to supporting young people into employment and training.
