Here’s a press release written for our wonderful clients, Woodlands Surgery at Eden House, Bateman Street, Cambridge detailing their recent relocation and the extensive services available to new and existing patients:
City based GP practice, Woodlands Surgery, has re-located to purpose-built premises at Eden House just off Hills Road on Bateman Street, Cambridge in a move that will offer wider health and wellbeing services for the local community.
Eden House will provide patients at Woodlands Surgery with a team of seven doctors, a GP in training, three nurses and a healthcare assistant. The clinical team are supported by administration and community nursing teams in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Relocating from their old Victorian premises on Station Road, Cambridge, Woodlands Surgery at Eden House has been designed specifically to create a modern building for the benefit of patients. The new surgery covers approximately 950 square metres over four storeys and offers greater accessibility via a lift and disabled access ramp. The electronic sign- in and patient calling system is suitable for those with hearing or visual impairments. Saturday appointments and extended surgery hours will also be available.
A mixture of both NHS and non-NHS (private) services will be available at Eden House in the future, including NHS health checks, private medical examinations, sexual health advice, travel vaccinations and counselling. In addition to traditional medicine offered by the highly experienced team, Woodlands Surgery is also planning to offer, in the future, a range of alternative therapies from non-NHS practitioners as part of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
Community involvement is integral to the ethos at Woodlands Surgery, with plans to run a competition for local schools to provide artwork for the waiting areas in Eden House and promote a family-friendly environment. Located in the heart of Cambridge, Eden House will also offer opportunities for community groups and local businesses, including fully-equipped meeting rooms available for hire at low-cost.
Marc Rolph, Practice Manager at Woodlands Surgery at Eden House says, “Woodlands Surgery provides every patient with personalised, high quality and accessible care.
